An Update

Hi everyone!
An update about what I’ve been up to for the past… year… and a little about what’s going on currently:

Phantom Regiment 2010 had an awesome summer. I was so honored to be a member of such a talented, hard-working group. ‘Into the Light’ was an incredible, inspiring show. I didn’t think I would be up for a third summer, but December rolled around and I knew I couldn’t stay away, so I’ll be going in for my age-out season this summer. ‘Juliet’ will be awesome!
The fall semester was pretty uneventful. School as usual. I qualified for NTC 2011 Semifinals in the Undergraduate Solo Division, and had a lot of fun down in DC over Spring Break. I performed the first movement of Dana Wilson’s Concerto for Trumpet (“Leader Lieder”).
My senior recital was April 9th and was well-received by most everyone, I believe. I’ll have video up soon, hopefully!

In other news, barring any extraordinary events, academic sabotage, or acts of God, I will be graduating in two weeks and receiving my BM Performance from IU. I’ve had a wonderful time here at the Jacobs School and I’ve learned a lot, especially from my lessons with Joey. I was fortunate enough to be accepted to the University of Michigan for my Master’s in performance. In the fall, I’ll be moving up there to study with Bill Campbell. Go Blue!

That’s all for now! Look for that senior recital video in a week or so.
